Recap

Holy cookies Batman!  So even though I've been slacking in the blogging department, clearly I have been up to something.  Here is a rundown of some orders I've done since I last blogged.  To the left are snowflake and ornament cookies done for a holiday craft show I participated in.  It was the first time I used a metallic finishing spray as well as dipping cookies in sprinkles.  Loved it!

On the right is a Pacman cookie  order.  This was really fun and a little more difficult than anticipated.  I used a tulip cookie cutter flipped upside-down and just took off the stem part.  Colors seemed to vary in reference pictures so I just went with what I thought looked best.  Overall, I'm pretty happy with them.

To the right are Jotunn.  In Norse mythology Jotunn are basically ice giants that want to eat your face off (translated word for word from old text...its true I read about it on the internet).  I was given free reign with this design and to be honest was stumped for a bit.  I finally decided on cutesy ice monsters and ta da!  Jotunn!

On the right, well come on...you gotta recognize this guy.  It's-a-me-Mario!  Again I was pretty much given an open concept on Mario themed cookies.  Ever since Paper Mario came around on the N64 I always thought the characters would make deliciously adorable cut outs.  Eventually I'd like to revisit this theme and do a whole variety of characters.

Last but not least is one of my most recent orders, San Francisco 49ers cookies for this past 2013 Superbowl.  A friend e-mailed me a while back saying how if her boyfriend's team made it to the Superbowl she would definitely be ordering cookies from me.  Well lucky for all of us they did.  I won't give you any spoilers though (even though it's been a while haha).   I really loved how the jerseys came out.

**EDIT**:  Forgot to add these Benefit Evil cupcakes I did!  Benefit Evil is a charity webcast my friends do every year where they marathon the Resident Evil games in a 72 hour period all while raising money for children in hospitals.  How awesome is that?  I thought these yummy zombie cupcakes based off their logo would be a good pick me up for the crew.

And there you have it folks!  A full recap of what's been going on for Sweet Cheeks Sugar Boutique.  Hopefully, I'll be updating a little more frequently since I've been baking quite a bit.  If not, expect another recap in another couple of months haha.
